The Suffering God 　 　 　 　 　 　 　 　 　 　 By Nicholsa Wolterstorff For a long time I knew that God is not the impassive, unresponsive, unchanging being portrayed by the classical theologians. I knew of the pathos of God. I knew God's response of delight and of his response of displeasure. Bur strangely, his suffering I never saw before. God is not only the God of the sufferers but the God who suffers. The pain and fallenness of humanity have entered into his heart. Through the prism of my tears I have seen a suffering God. And great mystery: to redeem our brokenness and loveliness the God who suffers with us did not strike some mighty blow of power but sent his beloved son to suffer like us, through his suffering to redeem us from suffering and evil. 受 苦 的 神 　 　 　 　 　 　 　 　 　 　 伍 斯 特 福 　　长 久 以 来 ， 我 就 知 道 神 不 是 神 学 专 家 所 描 绘 的 那 样 被 动 、 木 然 、 死 板 。 我 知 道 神 的 深 情 ， 我 知 道 他 喜 悦 时 的 反 应 、 不 悦 时 的 反 应 。 但 奇 怪 的 是 ， 我 先 前 没 有 见 过 他 的 受 苦 。 　　神 不 仅 是 受 苦 者 的 神 ， 他 是 受 苦 的 神 ； 人 的 堕 落 与 痛 苦 深 植 他 心 。 从 我 泪 水 的 棱 镜 ， 看 见 了 受 苦 的 神 。 　　大 奥 秘 ： 为 了 挽 救 我 们 的 无 情 与 破 损 ， 与 我 们 同 受 苦 的 神 并 没 有 施 展 大 能 的 手 段 ， 而 是 差 遣 爱 子 像 我 们 一 样 受 苦 ； 藉 著 他 的 受 苦 将 我 们 从 苦 难 与 罪 恶 中 救 拔 出 来 。
