Man 1: Hey, Kevin! How's it going?
Man 2: Not so great! Have you ever been driving real fast on a hectic freeway only to have the road suddenly split off in several directions and you don't have a clue which road to take?
Man 1: Yeah, I've been there.
Man 2: Well, that's how I feel right now.
Woodrow Kroll: Life can be pretty confusing sometimes. And the consequences of taking the wrong road could be devastating. That's why God has given us a road map called the Bible. Psalm 1:1,2 reminds us: "BLESSED is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in his law he meditates day and night."
Which road we choose depends on who we listen to. The ungodly would love to have us join them on their path to self-destruction. Those who seek counsel from God and His Word, however, will experience life at its best.
If you want to avoid disaster and experience abundant life, pick up your Bible and read it today. You'll be glad you did. |
