Woodrow Kroll: I'm Woodrow Kroll, and this is the Bible Minute. Here's a situation I hope you don't find yourself in...
SFX: Shop door
Owner: Welcome to Smythe's Gallery of Jewelry. May I assist you?
Man: We'd like to return a ring we bought yesterday.
Owner: Is there something wrong?
Man: (Annoyed) You bet there is! We bought this engagement ring...
Woman: And when I took it off, my finger turned green!
Man: It's not even a diamond.
Owner: Well! If you don't appreciate our quality...
Man: Quality, I spent a thousand dollars on a worthless piece of junk!
SFX: Cash register
Woodrow Kroll: No one spends that kind of money to buy junk, do they? We expect perfection, or at least something close to it.
That's why we can trust God. Unlike the ring we just heard about, God is the real thing. In a word, He's perfect. His character is perfect. His way is perfect. There is no flaw in Him at all. Along the path of life, we'll meet lots of phonies. Many things will try to fool us. But not God. 2 Samuel 22:31 says, "As for God, His way is perfect."
If you've already met a lot of phonies, isn't it time you met the real thing? Isn't it time you encountered the perfect God? If you're looking for someone you can really trust, get to know God. You'll discover Him in the pages of His Word. Pick up a Bible and discover Him and His perfect way for you. He's a God you can trust.
