[B]Woodrow Kroll: [/B]One of the terms we hear a lot today is "community." People want to be a part of something larger than themselves. Community is simply two or more individuals bound by a common cause. Does the term apply to God? You may be surprised. I'm Woodrow Kroll with today's Bible Minute. When God recorded the creation of mankind in Genesis 1:26, He referred to Himself in plural pronouns. "Then God said, 'Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness." God exists in community with Himself. The term we use today to describe that is "The Trinity," three persons yet one God. Why is this important? Well, simply, the Trinity encompasses all of God—the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Each person has a specific role yet each works in community with the other. In effect, it's what makes God, "God." I know this is difficult to understand. But the best news I have is that you can have a relationship in God's community by placing your faith in Him. You can enjoy the fact that Jesus is your Redeemer. And you can experience the Holy Spirit as your Helper. Want to know more? Read your Bible. Begin in the Book of John.
