SFX: Outdoors
Woodrow Kroll: It's one of the most unusual stories of the Old Testament. Facing the ultimate test of faith, Abraham is about to take the life of his own son as a sacrifice.
SFX: Ram bleating
Woodrow Kroll: Suddenly, God interrupts the drama with the sound of a ram caught in the bushes. Abraham names the place, "God will provide."
I'm Woodrow Kroll, and on today's Bible Minute we're looking at God as our Provider. The good news is that He is still a provider today. We read in the New Testament, the Book of Philippians, "And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
Notice that God doesn't supply just some of our needs or many, but ALL of our needs. How can that be? Well, Philippians 4:19 describes that supply as "according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." And since we're told He owns the cattle on a thousand hills—and the hills as well—there's no end to the supply.
The Bible has a lot to say about God as our Provider. Why not begin reading it to learn more about God. No matter what your need, He is able meet it. Why not take some time today, open your Bible and discover the Great Provider.
