[B]Woodrow Kroll:[/B] Hi, I'm Woodrow Kroll with today's Bible Minute. The word "majestic" is used to describe many things. A lion is called a majestic animal... [B]SFX:[/B] Lion growl. [B]Woodrow Kroll:[/B] The mountains at sunset are called majestic... [B]SFX: [/B] Crickets/Bird. [B]Woodrow Kroll:[/B] But perhaps the most majestic sight ever seen is recorded in Isaiah 6:1. After reigning 52 long years, King Uzziah, the eighth century B.C. king of Judah died, causing a time of national mourning and insecurity. At that moment, the prophet Isaiah went into the temple and saw God "high and lifted up." We're told that "the train of His robe filled the temple." Angels surrounded Him and the posts of the doors shook while the whole building became filled with smoke. Talk about a powerful setting. In the midst of tremendous national upheaval and insecurity, God majestically revealed Himself, reminding His people that He was still on the throne. Perhaps now is a time of upheaval in your life. Maybe you're feeling everything is falling apart. May I suggest something to you? Why not open your Bible and see for yourself that God is still on His throne. Things may be falling apart around you, but He sits there in sovereign majesty, waiting for you, to help put the pieces back together again. Why not get to know this God better. Read about Him in His Word, the Bible and let Him take charge of your situation. He can make a real difference.
