Woodrow Kroll: I'm Woodrow Kroll and this is the Bible Minute.
SFX: Dog bark, breathing...
Woodrow Kroll: My wife and I have a young dog at home. Early in his training our goal is to convince him that his master is everywhere. No matter what the situation, if the dog believes we're nearby, he's more likely to obey. However, once he discovers we aren't…well, forget it.
SFX: Dog growling...
Woodrow Kroll: The truth is only God can be everywhere. We call this the omnipresence of God. In Psalm 139:7 David asks, "Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?"
I don't know about you, but I find great comfort in knowing that no matter where I go, God is there. I am never alone. I am never out of His watchful eye. On the other hand, if I am living a double life, if I'm not living the way I'm supposed to—He's there as well. He's present in my most private moments.
Depending on how you live, the omnipresence of God is good news or bad news. Want to know more? Open your Bible. That's where you'll learn about the God who is everywhere. Find out how to live successfully in God's eyes. If you do, you'll rest in the knowledge that our Great God is there for you!
