Mugsy: Hey, Lefty, where'd you come from? I thought you were go'n up the river for a long time.
Lefty: I thought so, too. That lawyer mouthpiece they gave me was pretty good. He found some technicality in the law and got me off. How about that, maybe crime does pay.
Both: Laugh...
Woodrow Kroll: Unfortunately, that scene often plays itself out in real life. It seems the guilty often go free. But is it always true?
Do the guilty really go free? Perhaps on this earth they do, but not in the judgment to come. Nobody will get away with anything.
Listen to these words from Revelation 20:12, "And I saw the dead, small and the great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books."
Every person who's ever drawn breath on this planet will give account before God. He is the ultimate Judge. Now most people don't take this seriously. They think God doesn't care. But that's not true. God says that judgment is coming.
Want to know more? All you need to know is found in God's Word. Open your Bible and read Revelation 20. Then ask yourself, "Am I ready to stand before the ultimate Judge?" The Bible. Read it for answers. Read it for life.
