SFX: Thunder and lightning and ocean sounds.
Woodrow Kroll: I've been to Israel many times. I've witnessed the beauty and serenity of the Sea of Galilee. But I've also seen that great sea churned into a raging tempest. It's really impossible to comprehend what went through the minds of the disciples who witnessed Jesus rebuking the wind and the sea or walking on water or feeding 5,000 with a few loaves and fish. I'm Woodrow Kroll with today's Bible Minute.
What would you do if the person you were with demonstrated such power over creation? We have clearly revealed to us in Colossians 1:16 what the disciples were learning about Jesus. "For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him."
Jesus is the Creator God. If He could create the universe with a spoken word, then calming a raging sea wouldn't be hard to imagine. As a matter of fact, it's not hard to imagine that God has the power to meet any need in your life. So what need do you have today? Is it beyond the power of the One who spoke the solar system into place? Read Colossians 1 today and learn about the saving power of Jesus, the Creator God. Read your Bible and find the answer.
