天主教的教义?

Sorry if you have trouble reading in English

If you are somewhere around, pls come to my aid and tell me how to fix this thing. Almost each time I get onlilne, I can write in Chinese for half an hour before it decides to go on strike.

Fortuately now all college students can read in English, and I believe you can

So there should be no problem  

Though the computers here are really pissing me off

The Muratorian Canon was established in the year 170, way before the others.

The only difference from the present canon is that the Muratorian Canon didn't include Hebrews.

As for the seven books in apocrypha, it was not until the Council of Trent did the Roman Catholic anti-Reformation folks formally decide that they should be regarded as canon, equals of the other 66.

As for Eastern Orthodox folks, they don't count Baruch, and readily accepted teh rest.

So we still got different Bibles, but not since ancient times, but since several hundred years ago.

I myself wondered about the apocrypha

I have been to Mass in a Catholic church overseas, and I fail to see any quotations of the apocrypha during the service

Although it baffled me somewhat when the wine was denied the attenders

It was many and many a year ago, in a kingdom by the sea

如果事实果如你所说,那么迦太基 西波会议就没有必要召开

而迦太基西波会议与犹太人亚木尼亚会议的结论是有冲突的
何者正确?

My favorate books from the apocrypha are the Macabees

They are the most ready resources to recount the Jewish history between the two Testaments.

Besides Josephus' history of course.

The Gnostic scriptures are also a lot of fun.

If you don't have a pre-supposition (check out Gadamer if you don't know this word) of them, you have no idea whatsoever they are talking about.

不妨查找下东正教的圣经卷数
与西方教会的大致相同
是随从脱利腾会议吗?
不过当时东正教可把教廷认成魔鬼
又怎能说西方教会圣经是脱利滕会议的产物?

而当今中国东正教,也使用思高圣经为多

老毛子的说法是,七十子本的是最精确的,至于其它部分,在不信主的犹太人手中,已经有所变质

Well, the acknowledgement had to be made upon the present situation, which was consolidated by the two councils.

You really can't say they were unnecessary.

The councils had to be held to make sure that the faith is catholic and unified.

Persecution befell the Christians in the 4th century, remeber? The believer would rather give up their life to preserve books of the Bible. Therefore, people had to made sure which were worthy of dying for and which were not.

Besides, Marcion came up with his own canon, which brought confusion to the Christian circle. Montanu sect (Tertullian followed them later on) also came up with more "inspired" scriptures that they declared to be part of the Bible.

Decisions had to be made.

Another thing, I wonder why you mentioned the Council of Jamnia. It is of no significant influence; the participants were not many, and the discussions centered mainly on the status of Ecclesiastes and the Song of Songs.

who is 老毛子?

The Septuagent is not really precise to the original in that they have a questionable source material and that the translaters were not consistent in their translation. For example, they had word-for-word translation for the Torah, while for the poems they were pretty liberal, and didn't stick to the literal meaning.

Interestingly, the virgin birth is right there in the Septuagent...

BTW, what do you mean by 其它部分?
