Philippians 3:12-14 ( NRSV ) Not that I have already obtained this or have already reached the goal, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Beloved, I do not consider that I have made it my own, but this one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the heavenly call of God in Christ Jesus.

 

Philippians 3:12-14 (NLT) I don't mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection! But I keep working toward that day when I will finally be all that Christ Jesus saved me for and wants me to be. No, dear brothers and sisters, I am still not all I should be, but I am focusing all my energies on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I strain to reach the end of the race and receive the prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us up to heaven.

NRSV is not a very good translated version.

It translated the Maria as a "yong woman"; but good versions according to original text has translated to "virgin".

 

Many biblicists called it as a deviationism ism in NRSV version bible.

 

Suggested to read ESV or NASB or NKJV. These three english versions are accepted as exactly obey the original text during translation.

 

Stronglly recommended to read these three versions.
