I will try to type out the mediation and prayer in the morning. 01/28/03 Topic: Peter denied Jesus three times in John 18. From this story we can see how weak we are. Peter is one of the three disciples (Peter, John and James) who have closest relationship with Jesus. Peter is also a very emotional person. He drew his sword and cut off the ear of the priest’s servant. (John 18:10). However, when Jesus was arrested, he denied Jesus for three times. When he was asked whether he is the disciple of Jesus. He said: “I am not” I am as weak as Peter, even weaker than him. Can I admit Jesus is my Lord in that situation? I doubt. Lord, forgive me and help me. When I read that chapter, I hated the priest. And he is in the position of serving God. But he did not know God’s son. I can see his “jia3 mao4 wei2 shan4”. But sometimes I cannot see my own weakness. In my life and my fellowship, I always see others’ sins, and thought others’ hearts are so hard. They do not offer their 1/10 and do not go to church. But I forgot that what I did hurt our Lord many times. Many time I was away from you, and cannot listen to you Lord. I am so weak, Lord. Please forgive my weakness. Sometimes I complained about my life, even though you bless me so much. Lord, forgive me and I need your mercy because I am so weak. Please strengthen me in my faith. Help me know your clearly day by day, follow you closely and love you deeply day by day. Amen.
