创世记第三十五章： 35:1 神对雅各说：“起来！上伯特利去，住在那里，要在那里筑一座坛给　神，就是你逃避你哥哥以扫的时候向你显现的那位。” 35:2 雅各就对他家中的人，并一切与他同在的人说：“你们要除掉你们中间的外邦神，也要自洁，更换衣裳。 35:3 我们要起来，上伯特利去，在那里我要筑一座坛给　神，就是在我遭难的日子应允我的祷告、在我行的路上保佑我的那位。” 35:4 他们就把外邦人的神像和他们的耳朵上的环子交给雅各，雅各都藏在示剑那里的橡树底下。 35:5 他们便起行前往。　神使那周围城邑的人都甚惊惧，就不追赶雅各的众子了。 35:6 于是，雅各和一切与他同在的人到了迦南地的路斯，就是伯特利。 35:7 他在那里筑了一座坛，就给那地方起名叫伊勒伯特利（注：就是“伯特利之　神”的意思），因为他逃避他哥哥的时候，　神在那里向他显现。 35:8 利百加的奶母底波拉死了，就葬在伯特利下边橡树底下；那棵树名叫亚伦巴古。 35:9 雅各从巴旦亚兰回来，　神又向他显现，赐福与他， 35:10 且对他说：“你的名原是雅各，从今以后不要再叫雅各，要叫以色列。”这样，他就改名叫以色列。 35:11 神又对他说：“我是全能的　神，你要生养众多，将来有一族和多国的民从你而生，又有君王从你而出。 35:12 我所赐给亚伯拉罕和以撒的地，我要赐给你与你的后裔。” 35:13 神就从那与雅各说话的地方升上去了。 35:14 雅各便在那里立了一根石柱，在柱子上奠酒、浇油。 35:15 雅各就给那地方起名叫伯特利。 35:16 他们从伯特利起行，离以法他还有一段路程，拉结临产甚是艰难。 35:17 正在艰难的时候，收生婆对她说：“不要怕，你又要得一个儿子了。” 35:18 她将近于死，灵魂要走的时候，就给她儿子起名叫便俄尼，他父亲却给他起名叫便雅悯。 35:19 拉结死了，葬在以法他的路旁；以法他就是伯利恒。 35:20 雅各在她的坟上立了一统碑，就是拉结的墓碑，到今日还在。 35:21 以色列起行前往，在以得台那边支搭帐棚。 35:22 以色列住在那地的时候，吕便去与他父亲的妾辟拉同寝，以色列也听见了。雅各共有十二个儿子。 35:23 利亚所生的是雅各的长子吕便，还有西缅、利未、犹大、以萨迦、西布伦。 35:24 拉结所生的是约瑟、便雅悯。 35:25 拉结的使女辟拉所生的是但、拿弗他利。 35:26 利亚的使女悉帕所生的是迦得、亚设。这是雅各在巴旦亚兰所生的儿子。 35:27 雅各来到他父亲以撒那里，到了基列亚巴的幔利，乃是亚伯拉罕和以撒寄居的地方；基列亚巴就是希伯仑。 35:28 以撒共活了一百八十岁。 35:29 以撒年纪老迈，日子满足，气绝而死，归到他列祖（注：原文作“本民”）那里。他两个儿子以扫、雅各把他埋葬了。

8．返回伯特利（三五）

　　三五1～8 本章开首，神即命令雅各实践二十年前所立的誓言（二八20～22）。耶和华利用前一章所记的惨剧诱导雅各这样做。注意，本章提到神有二十多次，跟第三十四章从无提及过神，形成强烈对比。雅各答应神返回伯特利前，先在他家人中除掉他们中间的外邦神和偶像（当时人们相信偶像可以带来好运，并不一定把偶像当作神。所以有些以色列人虽然敬拜神，仍然在家中安放偶像。雅各认为在他家中不应当存有偶像，免得他的家人在属灵的事上对神分心），也要更换衣裳。他们这样做，使外邦邻舍甚为惊惧。雅各在伊勒伯特利筑了一座坛，敬拜那位保护他不受哥哥以扫伤害的神。

　　三五9～15 神重申雅各从今以后名叫以色列，重订他与亚伯拉罕和以撒所立的约。雅各在那儿立了一根石柱作神圣的标记，再给那地方起名叫伯特利。

　　三五16～20 雅各一家从伯特利起程向南走一段路程，拉结临产艰难而死。她给儿子起名叫便俄尼（我苦难的儿子）。雅各却给他这第十二个儿子改名为便雅悯（我右手之子）。二名均预告基督所受的苦难和后来的荣耀。拉结的墓碑的传统位置（未必是真实的）座落在耶路撒冷往伯利恒的路上。为何拉结不与亚伯拉罕、撒拉和利百加同葬在希伯仑山洞里？也许是因为她曾把偶像带进家中。

　　三五21～29 这里简述流便与他父亲的妾辟拉犯的罪，他因此失去长子的名分。流便是长子，本来应当得到双份的产业，在众兄弟中居领导的地位，但他因所犯的罪付上了极大的代价。虽然圣经一直没有再提起这件事，但是雅各在临终前向众子祝福时，突然把流便的双份产业拿走给了别人，并向他说明原因：“你上了你父亲的床，污秽了我的榻。”（四九4）

　　第22节最后一句开始新一段：雅各共有十二个儿子。随后两节详列十二个儿子的名字。虽然第26节说明那是雅各在巴旦亚兰所生的儿子，但便雅悯除外（24节）。他生于迦南（16～19节）。雅各返回希伯伦，要在他父亲以撒临死前见他一面。他母亲利百加几年前已经逝世。本章记载三个葬礼：利百加的奶母底波拉（8节），拉结（l9节）；和以撒（29节）。

Jacob Is Named Israel 9Then God appeared to Jacob again when he came from Paddan-aram, and He (N)blessed him. 10(O)God said to him, "Your name is Jacob; You shall no longer be called Jacob, But Israel shall be your name." Thus He called him Israel. 11God also said to him, "I am (P)God Almighty; (Q)Be fruitful and multiply; A nation and a (R)company of nations shall come from you, And (S)kings shall come forth from you. 12"(T)The land which I gave to Abraham and Isaac, I will give it to you, And I will give the land to your descendants after you." 13Then (U)God went up from him in the place where He had spoken with him. 14Jacob set up (V)a pillar in the place where He had spoken with him, a pillar of stone, and he poured out a drink offering on it; he also poured oil on it. 15So Jacob named the place where God had spoken with him, (W)Bethel. 16Then they journeyed from Bethel; and when there was still some distance to go to (X)Ephrath, Rachel began to give birth and she suffered severe labor. 17When she was in severe labor the midwife said to her, "Do not fear, for now (Y)you have another son." 18It came about as her soul was departing (for she died), that she named him [c]Ben-oni; but his father called him [d]Benjamin. 19So (Z)Rachel died and was buried on the way to (AA)Ephrath (that is, Bethlehem). 20Jacob set up a pillar over her grave; that is the (AB)pillar of Rachel's grave to this day. 21Then Israel journeyed on and pitched his tent beyond the (AC)tower of Eder. 22It came about while Israel was dwelling in that land, that (AD)Reuben went and lay with Bilhah his father's concubine, and Israel heard of it. The Sons of Israel Now there were twelve sons of Jacob-- 23(AE)the sons of Leah: Reuben, Jacob's firstborn, then Simeon and Levi and Judah and Issachar and Zebulun; 24(AF)the sons of Rachel: Joseph and Benjamin; 25and (AG)the sons of Bilhah, Rachel's maid: Dan and Naphtali; 26and (AH)the sons of Zilpah, Leah's maid: Gad and Asher. These are the sons of Jacob who were born to him in Paddan-aram. 27Jacob came to his father Isaac at (AI)Mamre of (AJ)Kiriath-arba (that is, Hebron), where Abraham and Isaac had sojourned. 28Now the days of Isaac were (AK)one hundred and eighty years. 29Isaac breathed his last and died and was (AL)gathered to his people, an (AM)old man of ripe age; and (AN)his sons Esau and Jacob buried him.
