Woodrow Kroll: If you're curious and you have Internet access, you can discover precisely where the U.S. government places its trust. Just type in the words, "National Defense Budget." You'll read about everything from the B-1 Bomber to night vision protection systems. Judging by the amount of money we're spending on weapons these days, it's obvious we're placing an awful lot of trust in them.
Now, having a strong national defense is important; but the truth is, whether a government or a family, we all need something to trust in. For the believer, our ultimate trust is in God.Psalms 20:7 says: "Some trust in chariots, and some in horses;
But we will remember the name of the LORD our God."
Chariots lose their wheels and horses lose their step, but you can always rely on God. So no matter what your battles might be, you can always place your trust in someone who is totally fail‑safe and entirely without cost. Trust in God alone.
