Woodrow Kroll: A young man once said to his pastor "I'm afraid that I love my wife too much. I think about her all the time. If I have to be away from her, I can hardly wait to get back."
His pastor interrupted, "Let me ask you, young man, are you willing to die for your wife?"
The man hesitated a moment. Finally he said, "I guess I'd have to think about that."
His pastor said firmly, "Then your problem is not that you love your wife too much; you don't love her enough."
You know, the Bible sets high standards for a husband's relationship with his wife. She's not just someone to meet his physical needs, to cook and clean. She is to be cherished and protected. God's Word says that we're to love our wives "as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her."
The sacrificial love Christ showed toward the Church is the kind of love a husband should show toward his wife.
If you want to learn how to better love your wife, take your Bible and read how Christ loved the Church. The love Christ has for us is the love we're to have for our wives. That's what the Bible says.
I think I must think over myself, because my girlfriend parted with me,though we didn't quarrel with each ather ever.I think I'm too private prosecution in love.
