Woodrow Kroll: Christmas is, without a doubt, one of the most marvelous times of the year. It's easy to get lost in the wonder of the season, not because people suddenly seem to be a bit more giving but because God was a lot more giving.
Two thousand years ago on a frosty night in Bethlehem, He gave us a Savior wrapped in the form of baby. The baby's name was Jesus. Luke 2 tells that story in simple language, "For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord."
Jesus would go on to live a life of absolute perfection and then willingly sacrifice His life to pay the penalty of sin.
Why am I telling you the Christmas story today? Well, the reason is simple. It doesn't matter the season or time of year; we need to be reminded that Jesus is our Savior and that we can have a relationship with Him.
Do you know Jesus as Savior? Have you placed your faith in Him? If you have and you're new in your faith, I want to send you a booklet entitled, Ten First Steps for the New Christian. The booklet is free simply by asking for it. Again it's entitled, Ten First Steps for the New Christian. To receive the booklet, call 1-800-811-2397. |
