Brain: Hey, look what I see over there. Feet, walk over there so hand can pick it up.
Feet: Okay, but I always have to do all the work and the hand gets all the glory.
Brain: Good job, feet, we're here. Now, hand, pick it up and we'll will take it with us.
Hand: I don't want to. All you ever do is see things for me to pick up. Well I'm tired of doing everybody's fine motor skill work. If you want it, you pick it up.
Brain: Come on hand, have a heart.
Heart: Did someone say heart? You guys never think of me unless I have a problem. Do you realize how important I am to this body?
Brain: Chill out, heart. If we need you, we'll call you...(heart beating sound stops) Uhh heart? heart? This isn't funny heart (frantically).
Woodrow Kroll: Imagine the parts of your body arguing every time you wanted to do something. Paul uses the body to illustrate life in the church. Each of us is like a member of the Body. Everyone has a job to do and we must all work together for the common good.
1 Corinthians 12:12 states: "For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ." Want to know more about how you fit in the Body? Read 1 Corinthians 12 today and find out how valuable you are to your church. You'll find answers in the Bible. |
