=============
The only real mistake is one from which we learn nothing.
John Powell
In most of my counseling sessions as a pastor, very rarely is it a person's first time in the situation. It has just finally gotten so bad or so confusing that they must seek help.
"When you pay for experience, keep the receipt," is another popular saying my mother used a lot.
Gomer Pyle perhaps said it best...
"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."
The only real mistake is one from which we learn nothing.
So don't make any real mistakes. |
