Lady 1: Did you see that little Jayme Smith today? Isn't she a doll?
Lady 2: Yes, I just wanted to go up and give her a big hug...she's so cute.
Lady 1: You know I let her get away with murder in class but I just can't help it. When you're that cute...well...
Lady 2: I know what you mean... then there's LeRoy…it kind of feels good to yell at LeRoy...
Woodrow Kroll: The discussion of these ladies hits a little too close to home, doesn't it? We all know kids who are easier to love than others. This is also true with adults. There are those who are easy to love and those who are not so easy to love.
What are we to do with those in our world who are hard to love? Jesus said, "For if you love those who love you, what reward have you?"
Jesus was saying, "It's easy to love some. But what about those who don't love us back? What about those who are hard to love?" Jesus loved us when we were hard to love and expects us to do the same to others. Our reward comes when we love as He loved which doesn't come easy for us. Pick up a Bible and read how God loved you, then love someone who is hard to love today. |
