Voice 1: Okay, now, be careful. That box goes right up there on top of the others.
Voice 2: This thing's heavy!
Voice 1: Hey, look out!
Voice 2: I can't hold it. It's, it's too heavy!! Watch out below!
SFX: crash
Woodrow Kroll: Sometimes human strength just isn't enough. We may spend hours at the gym pumping iron and think we're in pretty good shape. But sooner or later, we're going to run into someone or something that's stronger than we are.
The same is true emotionally. I'm Woodrow Kroll and this is your Bible Minute. No matter how tough we think we are, eventually we face circumstances that knock us flat.
Nehemiah was faced with the overwhelming task of rebuilding the wall of the city of Jerusalem. He could have quit. Instead he trusted the Lord. He writes in Nehemiah 8, verse 10, "Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength."
If your circumstances are more than you can handle today, turn to God and His Word. There's no other source where you can find strength to live day by day. The Bible. Read it for answers; read it for life. |
