Emptiness

[B]Woodrow Kroll:[/B] I’m Woodrow Kroll and this is the Bible Minute. You know, fame is short-lived. People who were in the spotlight when my children were growing up are unknown to their children. One generation and the glitter fades to dust. Certainly there is more to life than fleeting moments of notoriety. All that we accomplish in this world will pass away and be quickly forgotten. Solomon came to grips with this when he wrote in Ecclesiastes 1:11, "There is no remembrance of former things, nor will there be any remembrance of things that are to come by those who will come after." The main reason people struggle with emptiness inside is because they give their lives to things that can't satisfy. Solomon closes the Book of Ecclesiastes by reminding us that fulfillment can only be found in God. This is a good time to change directions and fill your emptiness with the love of Jesus which lasts forever. Reading the Bible reminds us that one hundred years from now our relationship with God will be far more important than anything we accomplish on this earth. Read more about it in God’s Word.
