Woodrow Kroll: Okay, time to use your imagination.
SFX: Harp.
Woodrow Kroll: Imagine a window in heaven opening up...
SFX: Door opening.
Woodrow Kroll: ...and there's an enormous box labeled "blessings." An endless supply of packages falls from that box to earth below.
SFX: Synth whoosh.
Woodrow Kroll: All the blessings you could ever want. Sounds great, doesn't it, if not a little unbelievable. But you might be surprised. I'm Woodrow Kroll, and this is the Bible Minute.
The picture I painted is straight out of Scripture. The Old Testament Book of Malachi speaks of God opening the windows of heaven to pour out His blessings. That's good news. You see, our God is a generous God. His very character DEFINES generosity. For example, James 1:5 says, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally."
What does God want from us in return? To trust Him, to obey His commands and to thank Him for His abundant blessings.
If you want to learn more about this God, begin reading your Bible. From cover to cover you'll see His generosity and what He's done for you. The Bible. Read it for answers. Read it for life.
