Woodrow Kroll: I'm Woodrow Kroll, and this is the Bible Minute.
SFX: Knocking, door opening.
Salesman: (British) Hello, I'm with the Acme Extinguisher Company...
Woman: (Mildly impatient) Thank you, but I don't want a fire extinguisher.
SFX: Door closes, knocks, door opens.
Salesman: But, ma'am, you never know when a fire might break out...
Woman: I still don't want one.
Salesman: I see you're a smoker. One ash from that cigarette could ignite a flame.
Woman: I said, "I don't want a fire extinguisher."
SFX: Door slams, knocks, opens.
Woman: (Very agitated) What is it!?!??
Man: (Hesitant) Your...house is on fire.
Woman: Oh, then I'll take two.
SFX: Extinguisher sound.
Woodrow Kroll: Someone persistently knocking at our door can be irritating. But if they have information we need to hear, that knock could be the most important we ever receive. That's why we need sensitive ears.
In Revelation 3:20 Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me."
Jesus doesn't knock and go away. He keeps knocking, because His presence is absolutely necessary. How many of you would've missed Jesus if He hadn't been so persistent at your door? Don't miss His voice today. Read your Bible and let Jesus come into your life.
