Woodrow Kroll: Hi, I'm Woodrow Kroll and this is Bible Minute. Mark Twain once said, "Always do right. This will gratify most people and astonish the rest."
Well, doing right is easier said than done. There's only One who always does right—and that Person is God. In fact, Psalm 11:7 says, "For the LORD is righteous." Simply put, that means God never makes a mistake, He never does anything wrong, He never misjudges a situation. In essence, God is always right.
Sometimes when bad things happen to a loved one, or to us, we're tempted to think that God must have slipped up in some way. But that's not so. When Abraham prayed for the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, he wasn't sure what God would do but was sure of one thing. In Genesis 18:25 he said, "Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?" Abraham knew the answer was "of course." God is righteous; He will always do right.
Righteousness is a part of God's character. Would you expect anything less? Want to learn more about God and all His attributes or characteristics? There's only one place to get to know Him. That's your Bible. Pick it up today and begin getting to know God in a personal way. From page to page, you'll see the righteousness of God displayed. Put your faith in Him and trust His Word.
