SFX: Animated crowd.
Woodrow Kroll: I'm Woodrow Kroll welcoming you to today's Bible Minute. Listen to the crowd. Dignitaries. Politicians. Religious leaders. But a hush falls on the scene as the Governor enters the palace; his name is Pilate. The occasion is the hurried trial of a religious upstart named Jesus.
As Pilate interrogates Christ about His claim to kingship, a fascinating discussion unfolded. Ultimately, the Scriptures record Pilate asking Jesus…
Pilate: What is truth?
Woodrow Kroll: The answer to that sobering question is found in John chapter 14, verse 6, where Jesus, in a different scene says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." A rather exclusive claim, isn't it? Jesus isn't just saying that He is truthful. He says that He is Truth itself.
Today many people consider truth to be relative. What's true for me may not be true for you. But that's foolishness. The Bible clearly teaches that Jesus is truth and you can trust Him to lead your life. Open your Bible and meet Jesus face to face. Discover Truth as you read His Word, the Bible.
