SFX: Dreamy harp.
Wife:Honey, wake up. Ever since you stuck your finger in that light socket you've had the strangest dreams.
Mad Scientist (Husband): (Dazed) Huh? You mean I didn't create life?
SFX: Electrical shock.
Woodrow Kroll: Sounds like somebody needs to get a grip on reality! Over the years people have been fascinated with the concept of life. Where did it come from? Genesis 2:7 says, "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being."
Life comes from God. A mother and father may conceive a child, but God is the source of life. Even more importantly, not only has God given us physical life—but He has promised spiritual life to those who believe in Him. Just as Adam couldn't make himself physically alive, we can't make ourselves spiritually alive. Only God can do that.
Want to know how? The Bible has the answer. If you want to learn more about new life in Christ, read the Gospel of John chapter 3. Abundant life can be yours, if you come to God, the source of all life.
