[B]Child:[/B] Dad, where did God come from? [B]Dad: [/B] He didn't come from anywhere. He's always been. [B]Child: [/B] But who, like, started God? [B]Dad:[/B] God didn't start. He has no beginning. [B]Child:[/B] Da-ad! Everyone has a beginning, even God. Didn't they teach you anything in school? [B]Woodrow Kroll: [/B] Trying to grasp the concept of the eternal nature of God is a monumental task. How could someone have no beginning? I'm Woodrow Kroll and this is the Bible Minute. Those who subscribe to the theory of evolution believe in cause and effect. They say everything that exists was started by something else. The only problem is that when they refer to the creation of the world, they can't go back to an original cause. I believe such a cause exists—and that cause is God. In Revelation 1:8 God says, "I am the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End." The alpha and omega are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet. God is the Beginning and the End. He is eternal. He's the only explanation for why there's a universe instead of nothing. If you want to learn more about the eternal nature of God, pick up a Bible and begin reading. Start in Genesis 1. You'll soon discover God is the only "cause" worth believing.
