Woodrow Kroll: Hi, I'm Woodrow Kroll and on today's Bible Minute we'll look at the subject of God's patience.
Voice 1: That's a strange button you're wearing! P-B-P-W-M-G-I-F-Y, what is that? Some kind of new language?
Voice 2: No, they stand for "Please Be Patient With Me, God Isn't Finished Yet."
Voice 1: Hmmm. So do you think we could get Him to hurry up!
SFX: Stinger.
Woodrow Kroll: Most of us are always in a hurry, aren't we! But God isn't like that. Listen to this verse found in 2 Peter 3:9, "The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance."
Sometimes we feel like we've blown it. Or maybe we feel like we've waited too long to get serious about God—and now God's not interested in us. That's simply not true.
He doesn't want any of us to perish but is waiting patiently for us to come to Him. Patience is a characteristic that makes God who He is. So if you want to learn more about God and more importantly about His salvation for you, begin reading your Bible. His Word is the only place you'll find everything you need to know about a God who is patiently waiting. The Bible. Read it for answers. Read it for life.
