Moral Failure

Unfortunately, when you play with fire, you get burned. Samson in the Bible had moments of greatness but he also had times of great moral failure. Judges 16:1 reminds us, "Then Samson went to Gaza and saw a harlot there, and went in to her." This was an area of weakness in Samson's life. And this moral failure led to his ultimate defeat. He was betrayed and turned over to the enemy for torture and eventual death. What about you? What would qualify as the "fire" that will burn you if you don't stop playing around with it? You may think it can't happen to you, but Samson knows differently. If you play with sin, you get burned. To avoid the consequence and scarring of sin, open your Bible.
