摘自﹕<<每日箴言>> 耶利米书 1：4-10 耶利米 [你不要说我是年幼的。] 当有人首次跟我碰面就对我说：“你比我想像中年轻”时，我会变得很在意自己的年龄，心中纳闷，不知那是否表示我在他们眼中是不够资格的。不少人间中会在意自己的年岁，在意年龄如何反映我们的能力。老年人亦一样。 多年前，先知耶利米认为自己太年少，不能胜任神交给他的工作。可是，神向耶利米表明，有关于服事神和传讲他的话，年龄并不是最大的问题，最重要的是我们是否属神；是否心甘情愿被神使用。 我们有时会像耶利米那样，不敢为神说话，因我们自觉太年少，缺乏经验。于是，我们在课室里，在咖啡店内，在与邻人一起，或有机会在教会事奉时就往往退缩怯惧，认为该由其他人来做。 无疑，我们的召命跟耶利米的并不一样，但神所给的应许却是一样。[你不要惧怕......因为我与你同在。] 我不清楚耶利米在这里自称年幼时的年龄到底有多大，但我知道年岁并不是最重要得的。少年人与老年人均属神，都可以为他所用。 今天，你要敢于为神所用，我们身为信徒的皆有基督的灵，足使我们有资格[站起来为耶稣说话]。 Jeremiah 1:4-10 Jeremiah " Do not say, 'I am only a child.'" When someone who sees me for the first time says, 'You're younger than I thought,' I briefly become conscious of my age, and I wonder if this means I may be a little less qualified in their eyes. Many of us, from time to time, are conscious of our age and of what it may say about our abilities. Older people feel it too. Many years ago, the prophet Jeremiah thought he was too young for the task God was giving him. But God made clear to Jeremiah that when it comes to serving God and speaking his word, the biggest issue isn't age. The main issue is whether we belong to God and are willing to be used by God. Sometimes we feel like Jeremiah: we don't dare to speak for God, because we feel too young or inexperienced. So in the classroom, in the coffee room, with a neighbor, or in opportunities to serve the church, we hold back, figuring that others can do it. Of course, we do not have the same calling as Jeremiah. But God's promise for us is the same. " Do not be afraid...for I am with you." I don't know how old Jeremiah was when he called himself a child here. But I know that age isn't what's most important. Young people and older people belong to God and can be used by him. Dare to be used by God today: as believers, we have Christ's Spirit. That qualifies us to " stand up for Jesus."
