Woman: Jim, a letter came today with your name on it from a lawyer in San Jose, California. Did you forget to pay that speeding ticket?
Man: I thought I took care of it. Let me see. It says that I've been named sole beneficiary of my great uncle's estate. Honey, we're rich!
Woodrow Kroll: I imagine a lot of people have fantasized about something like that. Maybe winning a sweepstakes or finding a satchel full of money.
But for those who have asked Jesus Christ to be their personal Savior, there's no fantasy—we have all the riches we ever need in Him.
The psalmist says in Psalm 31:19, "Oh, how great is Your goodness, Which You have laid up for those who fear You, Which You have prepared for those who trust in You
In the presence of the sons of men!"
Now, we all see some of God's goodness every day, but the psalmist says that an even greater goodness awaits those who fear the Lord.
If you want to find out more about the riches that await those who know and love God, open your Bible and you'll come face to face with a great God who cares for you. It's all there, right there in your Bible. Read it today. |
