[B]Woodrow Kroll:[/B] I'm Woodrow Kroll and this is the Bible Minute. Do you know what integrity is? [B]Child: [/B] Daddy, what's a lie? [B]Daddy: [/B]Well, it's something God hates but something you just have to do every once in a while. [B]Woodrow Kroll: [/B] Too often that's the integrity level we teach our children. It's okay to tell the occasional lie if it's to protect our own skin. Then we wonder why there's such a lack of integrity in our nation. I ntegrity means refusing to stoop to lying and cheating to reach our goals. It means staying true to your promises, even if it involves sacrifice. The psalmist said in Psalm 26:1-2, "Vindicate me, O Lord, For I have walked in my integrity. I have also trusted in the Lord; I shall not slip. Examine me, O Lord, and prove me; Try my mind and my heart." If God were to examine your heart today, would He find integrity? Or would you take advantage of situations for your own gain? The Bible has a lot to say about honesty and integrity, things you and I should know. But how will you know what the Bible says unless you read it?
