Woodrow Kroll: Wouldn't it be interesting compare our thoughts and feelings about our earthly fathers to how we feel about God? If you have a good dad, you probably think of God as being good. If you have an abusive father, then you might feel God is abusive.
Isn't it interesting that God calls Himself our "Heavenly Father?" It's an endearing term. In Matthew 6 Jesus prayed, "Our Father, in heaven." In Jesus' day people almost never said the name of God. He was too distant and it was too holy a name to say. But Jesus invites us to have a relationship with God as our Father, becoming one of His children.
What is your relationship to Him today? Maybe you don't have a relationship with Him at all. To learn how to become a part of God's family, read Matthew chapter 6, just 34 verses to help you understand the wonderful relationship you can have with our Heavenly Father. And if you don't have that relationship, why not call and request a copy of I Want To Go To Heaven When I Die. |
