Woodrow Kroll: Just imagine, your friends invite you to an organizational meeting for a club they belong to. At first, things go along nicely and all is well. Then, everyone moves their chairs into a
circle and they begin to criticize each other.
Before long they are yelling at one another and the meeting breaks up in a huff. On the way home your friends talk with you about joining this club. What would you say? Who would want to be a part of that? Who needs it?
Jesus told his disciples that the defining mark of His followers should be their love for one another. In John 13:34-35 Jesus said, "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."
How Christians treat one another has a lot to do with our witness for Christ. Who wants to be a part of a group that can't get along with each other? I don't. Does your life reflect the love of Jesus? How about your church? Pick up a Bible and read all about it. You'll see how Jesus loved us. Then do what He did.
