[B]Woodrow Kroll: [/B] Remember the story of the Wizard of Oz? When Dorothy and her friends first met the Wizard, he seemed to be strong and powerful. But when Dorothy's dog pulled back the curtain, the wizard was exposed for what he was, a weak old man. This is Woodrow Kroll and I think many people will have just the opposite experience one day when they stand before Almighty God. People today want a god they can manipulate and then put on a shelf to be taken down when needed. They want God to be their good buddy in the sky but not put demands on them or their lifestyles. But in Psalm 2, verse 11, the writer reminds the kings and the judges to "Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling." When the prophet Isaiah saw God in a vision he fell on his face and he cried out, "Woe is me, for I am undone" [Isaiah 6:5]. Our God is awesome. He is to be feared and honored above all else. How we live says a lot about what we think of God. The best way to know God is to read about Him in His revelation, the Bible. Pick up a Bible today and get to know the Creator of the Universe. He is a mighty and awesome God.
