Woodrow Kroll: Some of us are just never satisfied. Last year’s computer was fast, but unfortunately not fast enough for this year’s software. The house seemed big enough when you bought it but not anymore. I’m Woodrow Kroll and I’d like to use this Bible Minute to talk about satisfaction.
It’s no secret that the first rule of advertising is to make the consumer dissatisfied. Advertisers want to create a desire for more. But that materialistic longing runs counter to God’s Word. Listen to what Hebrews 13:5 says: "Let your conduct be without covetousness, and be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’" What God is saying is that things will never satisfy. You’ll never have enough of them. But what does satisfy is the presence of Christ.
Have you found true satisfaction? You can if you read your Bible. You’ll find God’s promise to never leave or forsake you. What more could you ask?
