Woodrow Kroll: I'm Woodrow Kroll, and this is the Bible Minute. Everywhere we turn, we see lives destroyed by people who appear to be good.
Mother: My daughter left with these new friends from college two years ago. We haven't seen her since. They call themselves "the new disciples."
Dad: We always trusted Uncle Jim. I never expected he'd do this to one of our children.
Radio Announcer: Eighteen people were found dead today in a small religious compound. It appears to be a mass suicide...
Woodrow Kroll: Often what looks good on the outside is spoiled on the inside. Religious leaders, politicians, even family members aren't always what they appear to be. That's why I rejoice in the words found in James 1:17, "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning."
In other words, there are no dark secrets in God's character. He can be trusted. He alone is good. And the best news is that the more intimate you become with Him the more you learn of that goodness.
How well do you know God? Need to know Him better? Open your Bible and read about someone you can trust. Learn about God's goodness as you read His Word.
