[B]SFX:[/B] Garbage truck, grinding garbage, backing up with beep. [B]Woodrow Kroll: [/B] Their day started as usual. Making the regular rounds to pick up everyone's garbage. But when they reached a street near the President's Palace in France... [B]SFX:[/B] Police siren. [B]Woodrow Kroll: [/B] ...they were stopped by police. Were they in violation of the law? Had they come too close to the President's Palace? No, the police were there to inform them that the President of France wanted to have breakfast with them! Can you imagine that, the President of France eating breakfast with four garbage men? It was a day they'd never forget. Incredibly, something like that has happened to you and me, something even greater than having breakfast with a President. It was the day that God stepped down from heaven to live with sinful humans like you and me! John 1:14 says, "The Word became flesh and dwelt among us." Nothing describes God's gracious character better than the fact that He came down to live among fallen mankind. Not only living among us, but Himself paying the penalty for our sin by dying for us on Calvary's cross. That's pretty amazing.
